WThe Way In
PRIVACY NOTICE

Plain language, on purpose.

This notice explains what The Way In collects during the pilot, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

When you create or manage a watch, we collect your email address, management PIN in protected hashed form, watch details, location and timing preferences, budget, notification choices, notes, and any mobile number you choose to provide. When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message. Please do not submit payment-card numbers, passwords, government identification numbers, health information, or other sensitive information.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting and security providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser or device type, request time, pages requested, and security logs to deliver, protect, diagnose, and improve the site. The pilot does not currently use advertising cookies or sell data for targeted advertising.

How we use information

We use information to create and operate watches, authenticate management access, research requested experiences, deliver confirmations and selected alerts, respond to messages and privacy requests, prevent misuse, maintain security, understand pilot demand, and improve the service.

How information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We may share only what is reasonably necessary with service providers that host the site, store data, deliver communications, or help protect the service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer. We do not give event organizers your information merely because you create a watch.

Retention and security

We keep pilot information only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, respond to requests, maintain records, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can promise perfect security.

Your choices and requests

You can update notification settings, edit a watch, or request closure through Manage My Watches. You may unsubscribe from email updates and reply STOP to opt out of texts or HELP for help. You can use the Contact page to ask what information we have about you or request correction or deletion. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some records may be retained when legally permitted or required.

Text-message consent

Text alerts are optional and are not a condition of purchase. If you select them, we record your consent and use the mobile number for The Way In transactional and watch-related messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Children

The Way In is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. People under 18 should not create a watch. If you believe a child submitted information, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice as the pilot changes. The effective date below identifies the current version. Submit questions or privacy requests through the Contact page.
